Mattern & Craig is looking for a motivated individual for a leadership position in their Civil Division. The successful candidate will manage multiple design projects, develop project schedules and budgets, and supervise design team members to ensure quality assurance for meeting design criteria and regulatory requirements.

Assist in the development of Statements of Qualifications (SOQ), technical proposals and presentations

Coordinate with clients, sub-consultants, government, regulatory and funding agencies

Required

Proficient with civil engineering practices and methodology

Working knowledge of design plan preparation and review using industry standard software

Previous client and project development experience

Excellent communication skills

Willingness to lead a team

Assisting in the development of Statements of Qualifications (SOQ), technical proposals and presentations

Coordinating with clients, sub-consultants, government, regulatory and funding agencies

VA Registered PE or licensure in an adjacent state and the ability to obtain licensure in Virginia within 6 months is required

BSCE from ABET accredited engineering program

Minimum of 10+ yrs experience in project management and client services

Preferred

Experience with local government, utility, and land development projects is highly desired but equivalent experience in other related fields will be considered

Familiarity with asset management and data analytics technology for utilities and local governments is desirable

MS or higher degree is certainly desirable

Knowledge of local design standards and regulatory agencies is a plus
