New Grad, Entry LevelAtlanta Flooring Design Centers, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Specialist to provide support to the Controller and other accounting departments. The role involves balancing financial records, posting transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with various accounting duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
Daily posting of Credit Card/ACH Deposits
Assist with GL reconciliations
Assist with month end closings
Bi-Weekly employee payroll (part 1-screening)
Bi-weekly 401k and HSA reporting
Month-End journal entries
Health Insurance payroll reconciliations
Export financial reports from RFMS and manipulate in Excel
Pull reports for other departments and manipulate in Excel
Assist Sub-AP with subcontractor pay
Learn subcontractor pay reconciliation
Alternate processor/checker for installer payroll
Create and update Excel spreadsheets with accuracy
Respond to emails, phone calls and requests in a timely manner
Additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Knowledge and understanding of Accounting Principles
Ability to meet weekly mandatory deadlines while maintaining accuracy finished product
Strong research and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with math and related concepts
Preferred
Bachelors degree
Experience with RFMS a plus
Ability to focus in fast paced environment
Strong ability to use discernment and make decisions with strong accuracy
Excellent time management skills
