Parttime Accountant
Warren Averett Executive Search & Recruiting is working with an established company in Montgomery, AL who is looking to add a part-time accountant to their team. The role involves assisting the Accounting Manager with day-to-day financial operations and supporting the Controller with core accounting functions.
Responsibilities
Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processing
Month-End Close responsibilities within a 15 day close cycle
Account reconciliations including bank and balance sheet accounts
Assist with the company’s transition from NetSuite to QuickBooks
Support payroll processing through PayChex
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Communicate as needed with internal team members—but this role is best suited for someone who is not overly chatty, with a quiet, focused working style
General bookkeeping duties; no specialized accounting functions required
Qualification
Required
Prior bookkeeping experience with AP, AR, month end close, and reconciliations
Familiarity with accounting systems; QuickBooks experience strongly preferred
Ability to assist in a system migration (NetSuite, QuickBooks)
Comfortable working independently and learning from hands on training
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Professional and quiet communication style
