Responsibilities

Operate and maintain thermal processing food system under FDA and USDA thermal processing guidelines for shelf-stable foods

Support thermal processing development and testing as required at the direction of Beech-Nut’s Process Authority

Monitor Log-Tec & BTS for process deviations and refer to the process authority for evaluation and corrective action

Evaluate current thermal processes and propose process improvements

Provide operational support to Manufacturing Supervisors by tracking downtime, reviewing daily manufacturing records, and other duties as assigned

Track and calibrate critical instruments used in the make and fill areas for monitoring critical process parameters (i.e. vacuum gauges, Temp & pH meters, Brookfield, etc.)

Consult with plant personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products

Support and participate in developing and implementing operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate problems and improve product quality
