The role involves developing tech packs, managing fit sessions, and ensuring quality control for pre-production samples.

Responsibilities
Tech Pack Development: Partner with Designer to create initial tech packs including detailed sketches (flats), construction callouts, and initial measurement charts
Fit Session Management: Lead fit sessions (virtual or in-person) and provide clear, actionable fit comments and corrections to manufacturers
Sizing & Grading: Establish and maintain brand-consistent grade rules and size charts (XS–XXL)
Pattern Review: Analyze patterns for balance and silhouette accuracy; communicate necessary adjustments to pattern makers or factories
Quality Control: Establish tolerances and ensure that pre-production samples meet all specifications before bulk production. Must spec each sample that comes ensure it meets our standards
Qualification
Required
5+ years in Technical Design specifically within the Women's Apparel market (Contemporary, Athleisure, or Bridge preferred)
Expert-level skills in Adobe Illustrator and Excel
Deep understanding of garment construction, stitching details, fabric performance, and drape
Ability to translate complex technical issues into clear instructions for overseas or domestic factories
Ability to commit to 20-30 hours per week and travel to our office in New Braunfels, TX when necessary
Preferred
Experience with PLM software (e.g., Backbone, Centric, or BlueCherry)
