Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end close
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Manage and improve the monthly close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
Oversee revenue recognition and healthcare-specific accounting, including patient accounts receivable, payer reconciliations, and contractual allowances
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and reporting requirements, including Medicare/Medicaid and third-party payer guidelines
Coordinate internal and external audits; prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries
Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team
Partner with the CFO and operational leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and reporting efficiency
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility
Prior experience in healthcare accounting
Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting
Experience managing audits and working with external auditors
Proficiency with accounting systems and ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar)
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred
CPA or equivalent certification
