Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve bugs across the stack, ensuring system stability and performance
Collaborate with clinical and product teams to validate business logic and workflow accuracy
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js (NestJS) and Spring Boot
Integrate and secure RESTful APIs using OAuth2, JWT, and SMART on FHIR
Maintain Python modules supporting LLM/NLP-powered features
Implement microservices and event-driven architectures using AWS (EventBridge, Cognito, Lambda, etc.)
Manage infrastructure with Terraform and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
Work with Swagger/OpenAPI documentation for API integration
Ensure data protection and compliance by implementing encryption for data at rest and in transit in line with HIPAA and other healthcare standards
Contribute to architecture design and security reviews, promoting best practices in encryption, access control, and resiliency
Collaborate on platform security and infrastructure design to enhance monitoring, observability, and incident response

Required

Strong proficiency in TypeScript for backend systems
3+ years of experience developing and maintaining Node.js and Java APIs
Proven experience with AWS infrastructure and Terraform (IaC)
Hands-on experience implementing and securing RESTful APIs using OAuth2, JWT, and related protocols
Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
Knowledge of encryption, network security, and key management principles
Experience in healthcare technology, EHR/EMR integration, or other regulated domains

Preferred

Familiarity with event-driven architectures and distributed systems
Experience with observability frameworks and automated testing
Exposure to API performance benchmarking
Prior experience working in small, agile teams, owning infrastructure or security modules end-to-end
