Facilities Manager - Housing and Shelter Programs
Volunteers of America (VOA) Spokane is a licensed behavioral health organization serving individuals experiencing housing instability. The Facilities Manager leads and supports day-to-day facilities, maintenance, and custodial operations across multiple housing and shelter sites, ensuring safety and compliance while managing staff and vendors.

Responsibilities
Supervise and actively participate in daily maintenance, custodial, and grounds operations across housing, shelter, and administrative facilities
Lead and support Facilities and Maintenance staff, ensuring quality work, safety standards, and timely completion of tasks
Plan, prioritize, and coordinate work orders across multiple sites using maintenance management systems
Oversee building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire, and life-safety systems
Coordinate apartment turns, office moves, program transitions, and event-related facility support
Manage vendor relationships, inspections, certifications, and regulatory compliance requirements
Maintain secure key and lock systems and support overall building safety
Respond to urgent and emergency facility issues during assigned on-call rotations
Use digital tools and reporting systems to track maintenance activity, inventory, and work completion
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or facilities leadership experience
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to maintain auto insurance
Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check and driving record review
Preferred
3 or more years of facilities, maintenance, or building operations experience
Experience with Housing Quality Standards (HQS) and/or REAC inspections
Experience supporting housing programs, shelters, or community-based services
