Embedded Payments Manager
gWorks is a provider of cloud-based software for small local governments and public sector organizations in the United States. They are seeking an Embedded Payments Manager to drive the adoption of their online payment processing services, manage partnerships, and track financial performance. The role involves working across marketing, client services, and product teams to enhance the payment experience for clients.

Responsibilities
Build and execute campaigns to increase payments adoption across our client base
Partner with marketing on awareness programs, email campaigns, and promotional outreach
Work with client services to embed payments into onboarding and implementation
Identify high-potential clients and run targeted adoption initiatives
Track adoption metrics and report progress against revenue targets
Own the day-to-day relationship with our payment processor (Payrix/Global Payments)
Coordinate on adoption support, co-marketing, and best practices
Ensure we're taking full advantage of partnership resources and contract terms
Stay current on product updates and new capabilities
Track payments revenue, transaction volumes, and gross margin
Monitor interchange, processing costs, and revenue share to ensure accuracy
Build reporting dashboards for payments KPIs
Identify opportunities to improve economics (payment method mix, pricing)
Partner with finance on reconciliation and forecasting
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field required
Analytical Skills
Strong understanding of payment processing economics: interchange, basis points, revenue share, processing fees
Ability to analyze transaction data, identify trends, and spot revenue leakage
Experience building financial models to forecast revenue and track performance
Comfortable with data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation
Experience driving product adoption through campaigns, lifecycle marketing, and targeted outreach
Track record increasing adoption of embedded features or add-on products within a SaaS platform
Ability to build and execute go-to-market programs that move clients from awareness to activation
Comfortable working with marketing teams on messaging, segmentation, and campaign execution
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to explain payments concepts to non-technical audiences
Experience presenting to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
Strong partnership management and relationship-building skills
5+ years in SaaS, with experience spanning marketing, product adoption, or customer success
Strong cross-functional skills: you'll work with marketing, product, client services, and finance
Experience with Payrix, Stripe Connect, or similar payment facilitation platforms
Experience at a vertical SaaS company with embedded payments
Preferred
Background in government technology or serving public sector clients preferred
