Responsibilities
Partner with site and corporate leadership to align HR strategy with business goals and workforce needs
Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention programs to ensure consistent staffing and engagement
Advise managers on performance management, employee relations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
Ensure HR policies are communicated, interpreted, and applied consistently across departments
Conduct investigations and recommend corrective actions as needed
Maintain visibility on the production floor and across shifts to foster trust and employee engagement
Manage and administer compensation, benefits, and performance review programs
Coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and career growth
Support corporate HR in maintaining compliance with federal and state labor laws (EEO, FMLA, ADA, etc.)
Ensure proper documentation and retention of personnel records in accordance with company policies
Participate in safety and compliance initiatives to promote a safe and inclusive workplace
Report regularly on HR activities, workforce metrics, and key issues to HR leadership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration required
Minimum 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR practices, and compliance regulations
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
Hands-on experience in employee engagement, workforce planning, and training
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms
Must be comfortable working onsite in a plant environment and engaging with all levels of employees
Preferred
Master's preferred
Experience in food, specialty ingredients, or industrial manufacturing is a plus
PHR / SHRM-CP certification preferred
