They are seeking a General Accountant who will be responsible for managing payments, controlling expenses, and performing account analysis and reconciliations.

Responsibilities
Complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices/receipts
Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports, recording entries
Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying tax id numbers, scheduling and preparing checks, and resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation
Works with project accountants, project/account managers to collect accounts receivables and reconcile customer accounts
Performs month end tasks such as preparing/posting recurring and non-recurring general journal entries & generating financial reports
Works with transactions involving multi-currency and tax considerations
Performs account analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements (cash flow projection) and general ledger accounts (e.g. intercompany, payroll-related, etc.) and working with relevant parties to identify and resolve any discrepancies
Assists in responding to external audit requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Economics
Working towards CPA designation
Experience populating or building financial reports and analysis using Excel is required
Commitment to provide outstanding customer service and quality
Inherent inquisitiveness to “dig in" and ask questions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Interacts well with others - internal finance team, senior managers and external parties
Maintains confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information
Proven ability to multitask, manage deadlines and work under pressure
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Strong team player with a focus on team goals
Strong personal integrity
Preferred
Experience in a professional services business would be beneficial but is not required
Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV software is an asset
Experience using AI-powered tools or platforms in a finance or accounting context
