The AI Workflow & Role Intelligence Lead will be responsible for guiding organizations on AI role utilization, workflow analysis, and providing clear role-level guidance to ensure effective AI adoption without owning delivery or tooling.

Responsibilities

Map end-to-end workflows by department and function
Identify high-friction and high-judgment roles
Distinguish between decision-makers, reviewers, approvers, executors
Assess where AI should: Automate (low judgment, repeatable work), Augment (human judgment supported by AI), Disappear into the background (low interaction, high value), Not be applied at all
Define 'Do / Don't Automate' guardrails by role
Surface adoption, trust, and risk considerations early
Identify where AI may: reduce confidence, introduce hesitation, create compliance or accountability issues
Translate findings into clear role-level guidance
Convert role intelligence into: implementation-ready requirements, usage assumptions, adoption constraints
Partner closely with Director of Client Strategy and Adoption & Behavior Design Lead
Participate in executive discovery sessions
Advise senior stakeholders on readiness, risk, and sequencing
Help clients decide where to pause or slow AI investment

Required

8–15+ years in management consulting
8–15+ years in digital transformation
8–15+ years in operating model or process design
8–15+ years in enterprise strategy roles
Experience working with CIO / CTO / Head of AI
Experience working with Operations leadership
Experience working with External consulting or delivery partners
Strong systems thinking and judgment
Excellent executive communication skills
Comfortable operating without formal authority

Preferred

Exposure to AI programs, analytics, automation, or data initiatives
Prior experience at firms like Accenture, Deloitte, PwC, Slalom, McKinsey, BCG, or equivalent
