Account Executive, Mid-Market (C&I Energy Solutions)
Peak Demand is a fast-growing clean energy technology company focused on helping commercial and industrial customers manage their energy demand. The Account Executive will drive new customer growth across demand response and grid services programs, managing the full sales lifecycle and building trusted relationships in a high-growth environment.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a customer-focused sales strategy supported by partner and utility referral channels
Build and maintain a robust C&I pipeline at 3–4x quota, managing opportunities from first contact through close
Consistently generate new customer meetings through outbound prospecting and collaboration with inside sales
Engage decision-makers including executives, sustainability leaders, energy managers, and facility operations teams
Qualify customer participation based on operational fit, energy usage, and program requirements
Gather customer energy and load profile data to support demand response and curtailment strategies
Present value-based energy solutions aligned with customers’ long-term operational and sustainability goals
Manage opportunities, activities, and forecasts through Salesforce CRM
Achieve or exceed monthly and annual sales targets while maintaining accurate pipeline and forecast reporting
Advance deals through a structured, account-based selling process
Work closely with operations to ensure smooth handoff and timely customer enrollment
Collaborate with sales partners and contractors to align solutions with customer needs and program objectives
Develop vertical market expertise to strengthen credibility and support referral-driven growth
Qualification
Required
Experience selling demand response or grid-interactive energy solutions to commercial and industrial customers
An established network within power-intensive or mission-critical industries
Proven success developing and executing energy-related solutions with customers and partners
Strong communication, listening, and presentation skills
High adaptability and comfort operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
Authorization to work in the U.S
Preferred
Bachelor's degree
Experience working in deregulated power markets (e.g., PJM, ERCOT, CAISO, NYISO, ISO-NE, MISO, SPP)
Proficiency with Salesforce and standard productivity tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
