Assistant Marketing Manager
EPITEC is seeking an Assistant Marketing Manager to join the CarBravo team, focusing on executing a customer-first marketing strategy for certified used vehicle initiatives. The role involves managing day-to-day marketing tasks, collaborating with various teams and agencies, and implementing integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
Responsibilities
Be Bold and Think Customer
Maintain a positive, forward-thinking mindset
Challenge conventional thinking to help bring new, disruptive ideas to the marketplace
Manage day-to-day tactical execution of the retail, CRM and consumer site workstreams, as well as other areas as opportunities arise
Coordinate and support consumer website activities with the Digital Operations Specialist
Work closely with multiple partner agencies on aligned channels
Coordinate with creative agency to facilitate development and production of consumer marketing materials, including necessary approvals
Coordinate with internal GM partners such as Global Marketing and Social COE to leverage all available resources and ensure adherence to GM requirements and processes
Become a specialist on the used vehicle market including consumer, product, and competitive
Coordinate and meet with any necessary internal and external partners to develop initiatives to enhance GM’s used car strategy
Working closely with other team members, support implementation of an integrated dealer retail strategy and associated materials
Work with other CarBravo team members to develop initiatives in support of team goals
Track media and production budgets with accuracy and detail
Qualification
Required
Brand marketing experience is highly valuable for this role
Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite is essential, especially PowerPoint and Excel
Site management is part of the position, but technical aspects are handled by the agency—no specialized technical knowledge required
On-the-job learning is expected and supported, so candidates can pick up necessary tools and processes as they go
Bachelor's degree - If no degree open to equivalent experience
5+ years in consumer marketing or advertising
A creatively consumer-centric, results-driven mentality
Excellent project management skills and the proven track record to manage multiple projects at any given time
Ability to deal with ambiguity and take charge to get things done
Ability to synthesize site and marketing metrics and provide succinct summaries to share with larger team
Proven time management skills with the ability to effectively and efficiently use your time to focus on the most impactful activities and challenge those that distract from the identified goal
Excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrably understanding and communicating with your audience (internal and external); presenting information effectively and succinctly; and communicating openly
Preferred
Agency experience is highly preferred
Workfront experience is a plus, but not required as training is available internally since the team migrated to it last year
Familiarity with retail, CRM and consumer site management preferred
Advertising/Marketing agency experience helpful but not required
Automotive experience preferred but not required
