Core Molding Technologies is hiring a Quality Engineering Intern to support manufacturing quality, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. This paid internship provides hands-on experience in quality systems, root cause analysis, audits, and customer/supplier quality within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Collect, analyze, and report quality data, trends, and issues
Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
Assist with IATF 16949 quality system compliance activities
Help document and track customer complaints and responses
Participate in scrap reduction and continuous improvement projects
Support MRB activities and documentation
Assist with APQP and PPAP documentation
Help update PFMEAs, Control Plans, work instructions, and procedures
Support calibration records, basic metrology, and gage databases
Assist with document control and QMS documentation updates
Support internal audit preparation and follow-up activities
Help track supplier quality issues and non-conformances
Assist with chargeback analysis and customer concern reporting

Required

Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Basic understanding of manufacturing and quality concepts
Comfortable working with data and solving problems logically
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Strong attention to detail and organization
Team-oriented with a positive, learning-focused attitude

Preferred

Coursework in Quality, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma
Familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, or ISO 14001
Experience with technical documentation or data analysis
Interest in manufacturing, automotive, or plastics/composites environments
