Responsibilities
Ability to follow and execute written and verbal directions
Ability to perform specific QA/QC tests on construction materials. Perform construction observations and document results in accordance with project requirements
Ability to communicate non-conforming tests/observations to site project manager
Ability to review and comprehend specifications and plans in accordance with project documents
Ability to maintain and submit daily field reports documenting test results and field observations
Ability to provide necessary maintenance and calibration on assigned equipment in according to applicable codes and standards
Ability to transport, operate, and care for nuclear density gauge equipment provided in accordance with NV5’s radiation safety policy
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
At least four years of experience in the field
Valid driver's license
ACI Level I Certification
High level of competency in the ability to read plans and specifications
Preferred
ICC Soils Special Inspector Certification a plus
Radiation safety training for the use of nuclear density gauges a plus
NICET certification a plus
