Responsibilities
Oversee the Engineering Division within the Utilities Department
Manage capital improvement programs
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams
Ensure regulatory compliance while delivering reliable water and wastewater infrastructure
Oversee all utility capital projects from initial planning and design through construction and closeout
Report to the Utilities Director and oversee engineering staff and consultants
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or related field
Minimum of seven (7) years of engineering experience in water/wastewater or utility infrastructure
Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
Valid Texas Driver's License or ability to obtain within six months
Preferred
Experience managing capital improvement programs
Supervisory experience, knowledge of TCEQ regulations
Ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred but not required
