The role involves working on manufacturing projects under the guidance of senior engineering staff, with the goal of developing future engineering resources for the organization.

Responsibilities

Working with engineers and plant personnel to become familiar with basic manufacturing processes

Plant operations and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment

Introduction to the Pilot lab and laboratory procedures and protocols

Initial exposure to smaller projects within the plant environment

As work sessions progress, projects will become larger and more complex

Introduction to Process Design, Project Engineering and Project Management

Independent work on projects both individual and group oriented

Develop an understanding of how to estimate project costs and calculate financial returns

Become more involved in evaluating processes and optimizing systems

Gain an understanding of automated manufacturing process design

Learn how to write a Capital Allocation Request (CARs)

Required

Pursuing a Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree
