Responsibilities

Provides sound engineering principles for the implementation of new manufacturing equipment, processes and procedures

Studies & recommends techniques to improve existing equipment and processes

Coordinates design activities and installations with other departments

Provide process line technical support including, but not limited to, investigating improvement opportunities, troubleshooting equipment, and addressing operator inquiries as requested

Complete engineering calculations to validate implementation of new equipment or processes

Represents engineering department on cross functional teams

Prepares specifications for equipment and installation and secures bids from suppliers & contractors

Analyzes equipment and contractor installation specifications

Prepares layout & design drawings as required

Requisitions material and equipment for capital projects

Plans, schedules and supervises construction activities and participates in startup and evaluation of new equipment

Prepares progress reports on capital projects

Maintains engineering documentation including project files, datasheets, drawings, schematics, and revisions
