Junior Architect
CORE is an engineering-forward architecture firm that guides projects from inception to completion with a focus on functionality and safety. They are seeking a motivated Junior Architect to support the design, planning, and execution of facility-related architectural projects, assisting senior architects in developing design documents and ensuring compliance with building codes.
Responsibilities
Lead the architectural development of projects from conceptual and schematic design through construction administration
Develop high-quality architectural visualizations and renderings to clearly communicate design intent to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
Produce and coordinate detailed construction documents using BIM and CAD software
Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, engineers, and consultants to ensure fully coordinated and accurate drawings and specifications
Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, zoning ordinances, and regulatory requirements throughout all project phases
Integrate consultant drawings and specifications into cohesive construction document sets
Participate in client meetings, presentations, and design reviews to support project goals and respond to technical and design-related questions
Conduct site visits and field observations to verify construction conformance with contract documents and assist with issue resolution
Respond to RFIs and review shop drawings, submittals, and change documentation during construction
Assist in maintaining project schedules, deliverables, and quality standards in coordination with project management staff
Mentor and support architectural staff, including designers and drafters, as appropriate
Stay current with building codes, materials, construction methods, visualization tools, and industry best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
Architectural licensure is preferred; licensure in progress will be considered
Minimum of 5–10 years of professional experience, with preference given to candidates experienced in industrial, commercial, multi-family, and municipal projects
Strong proficiency in Revit, with working knowledge of AutoCAD
Advanced proficiency in architectural visualization and rendering software, such as Lumion, Enscape, or other high-end real-time or photorealistic rendering platforms, is required
Solid understanding of BIM coordination and document production workflows
Thorough knowledge of architectural detailing, construction methods, and building systems
Strong working knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction standards
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven problem-solving ability and highly developed attention to detail
Ability to function effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
