Responsibilities

Work with engineers to accomplish assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner

Maintenance Projects – Repair of freight cars through structural modifications and replacement of railcar components

Modification Projects – Conversion of freight cars from one service to another

Drawings – Creation of supplemental documents for maintenance instructions and modifications

Data analytics – Review data related to maintenance on our railcars

Labor Standards – Review repair process to identify discrete steps and estimate time required to complete the repair

Required

Major(s): Mechanical Engineering

Year in school: completed at least 1 year at an accredited college/university

Specific course work: Statics, Strength of Materials, AutoCad, SolidWorks or other 3D modeling

Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Min GPA of 2.5

Aptitude for problem solving, critical thinking, and analytics
