Responsibilities

Must deliver 4× OTE annually (i.e., $500K–$1M+ depending on comp plan)
Full responsibility end-to-end — prospecting, demos, proposals, negotiation, and close
Daily power-user of Salesforce (or similar) for pipeline, reporting, and forecasting
Expected to attend multiple higher-education conferences annually and manage exhibition booths

Required

4–5 years' experience in a sales role
Self-starting, independent quota-carrying professional
Ability to produce revenue without marketing or lead-gen support
Experience in selling education services, training programs, or research solutions into 4-year universities, graduate schools, and R1/R2 institutions
Track record of hitting or exceeding quota in $5K–$40K ACV deals
Daily power-user of Salesforce (or similar) for pipeline, reporting, and forecasting
Willingness to attend multiple higher-education conferences annually and manage exhibition booths
Excellent professional presence, communication, and writing skills
Ability to generate pipeline and close deals without support
Willingness to work long hours in a '24/7' early-stage environment
Highly productive and outcome-driven mindset

Preferred

More than 5 years of successful selling education services, training programs, or research solutions
Experience in EdTech, scholarly publishing, or academic service vendors
References from at least 1–2 institutional buyers and 1 prior manager
Top performer mindset: early mid-career but fast-rising, eager for greater responsibility
Leadership trajectory: Early hires who excel will become not only sales leaders but also potential general management leaders as the company grows
