The Indiana Economic Development Corporation is seeking a Governor's Summer Intern for the White River State Park marketing and communications team. This internship will provide college students with hands-on experience in tourism, marketing, and communications while assisting with various marketing initiatives and projects.

Responsibilities

Assist the events team with marketing special events and greenspace rentals

Create engaging social media content

Help build and maintain the park’s photo and video library

Create graphics for upcoming events

Research and assist with creating newsletters, media pitches, and press releases

Participate in meetings to benefit current and future park initiatives

Update the White River State Park website

Perform special projects as assigned by the Executive Director

Work occasional shifts in the park’s Visitor Center

Required

Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate with an accredited post-secondary institution and have completed at least one (1) year of undergraduate education

Ability to build relationships, establish credibility, and influence leaders at all levels

Ability to conduct well-informed research

Ability to solve complex, critical problems

Ability to review and make recommendations on proposed changes to relevant policies and procedures
