Responsibilities

Develop 3D modeling using Siemens NX tool for equipment (e.g., support brackets, LRU trays) and wire support installation/routing

Convert 3D models to 2D drawings and generate associated parts lists

Coordinate with multi-discipline teams (e.g., Structures, Environmental) to ensure design requirements are met

Responsible for managing accurate equipment and wire harness installation while maintaining current wiring diagram and wire assembly configurations

Incorporate wire harness modification kit drawings into wiring installation modification drawings

Support the sustainment, development and documentation of aircraft systems, primarily electrical equipment and wiring modification drawings (may include interacting directly with USAF customer, Field Engineers and C-17 aircraft)

Work cohesively with Project and Supplier Management, Materials and Processes Engineering

Perform root cause analysis for field issues, provide corrective actions, and communicate with USAF customer

Support quarterly review briefings with customers, and yearly symposiums communicating field issues, by presenting a comprehensive review of the issue, root cause and interim/long term solutions for electrical aircraft system issues

Required

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

3+ years of experience in wire harness/equipment installation design

3+ years of experience using Siemens NX (Unigraphics)

2+ years of experience with Teamcenter/IPDM drawing release tool

3+ years of engineering experience associated with the development, selection, and/or revision of parts, materials, and processes specifications used to make electrical wiring and associated electrical systems
