Responsibilities
Expand Digital/AI Literacy lessons into Skyline as a universal "Gen Ed" baseline
Develop a data-driven readiness assessment model for schools and the district
Deploy data workflows and a public-facing AI Readiness dashboard
Support the Innovation & Engagement Center (CoE) lab and future regional hub scoping
Finalize the Labor Market Analysis, Learning Pathways Blueprint, and Tiered Support Strategy
Oversee the design of skAI, guiding its evolution from a Curriculum Co-Designer to a Teacher's Assistant and Student Learning Partner
Architect user journeys and conversational flows for CPS ASSIST, a unified orchestration agent integrating departmental sub-agents (HR, Transportation, IT Help Desk, etc.)
Partner with Cloud AI Solutions Engineers to define frontend requirements and functional logic aligned with backend architecture feasibility
Lead UX focus groups with teachers and students to ensure culturally responsive, pedagogically sound AI solutions
Design and implement functional "Gems" (custom Gemini models) and NotebookLM instances to automate administrative workflows and enhance data retrieval
Ensure AI competencies are mapped to academic standards and proactively updated as technology evolves
Apply CPS AI Principles (Equitable, Transparent, Human-Centered, Sustainable) and the AI Readiness Framework, prioritizing accessibility for diverse learners and English Learners
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (required)
3-5 years of professional experience in UX/UI design, product management, or technology operations
Hands-on experience facilitating Design Thinking from discovery through prototyping
Experience with Generative AI platforms (Google Vertex AI, Gemini, NotebookLM)
Experience designing custom agents or AI 'Gems'
Experience in education or large enterprise environments
Proven ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders
UX/UI Excellence: Strong experience designing conversational agents and digital learning environments
Human-Centered Design: Expertise in Human-in-the-Loop methodologies and qualitative user research
Strategic Systems Design: Ability to design orchestration agents integrating multiple data sources
Operational Insight: Apply AI Readiness Framework to identify equity-impacting gaps
Exceptional Communication: Translate complex AI concepts into clear guidance for educators, families, and leadership
Technical Adaptability: Stay current with emerging standards such as Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A) interoperability
Preferred
Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Technology, Education, or related field (preferred)
MIT xPRO Designing and Building AI Products and Services
Google UX Design Professional Certificate
Google Cloud Digital Leader
NN/g UX Certification or Interaction Design Foundation (IxDF) AI Specialization
