Responsibilities

Conduct routine maintenance on facilities, manufacturing equipment, and grounds

Perform routine and emergency maintenance on production machines and tools

Perform basic electrical work, such as safely troubleshooting electrical issues with outlets, breakers, fuses, electronic controls, and relocation of circuits

Perform basic plumbing such as fixture repair and installation, and locating and repairing leaks

Perform basic carpentry such as general framing, installation, remodeling or repairing damaged framework or other structures/fixtures

Utilize diagnostic equipment to monitor equipment performance, diagnose root cause, and make reliability improvement recommendations

Troubleshoot complex problems when the repair is not immediately visible

Use schematics, hand tools, electrical gauges and common test equipment for calibration, diagnosis, and repair/maintenance of equipment

Relocate and setup employee workspaces and equipment

Maintain the grounds and common areas, including lawns, flowerbeds, shrubbery, parking areas, recyclables and trash removal as needed

Perform and maintain inventory on repair supplies, keeping them neat and organized

Coordinate the work of external contractors on larger or more complex projects as needed

Mentor team members and be a positive influence

Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management

Complete the Annual CTPAT Security Training

Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment

Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations

Assist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all times

Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary

Must have the ability to use ladders and lifting equipment

Must have the ability to obtain a powered-industrial truck certification, if needed

Must have the ability to be available on an ‘on-call' basis when needed

Must have the ability to push/pull/lift up to 40 lbs

Must have a relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement

Must have a willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods

Must have excellent organizational and time management skills

Must have intermediate mechanical and electrical maintenance skills

Must have familiarity with industrial electrical systems and the National Electric Code

Must have intermediate working knowledge of general maintenance, and grounds keeping

Must have basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel

At least 2 years of experience using general mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other associated skills

High School Diploma or GED

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future

Preferred

At least 5 years of experience in maintaining and keeping a facility and its equipment in safe, functional, clean and orderly condition using general mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other associated skills in manufacturing or distribution environment preferred

At least 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Electrician preferred

Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred

Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician Certificate (CMRT) preferred

Certification or degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred
