SCADA Electrical Engineer – Mid Level (Hybrid/Remote)

Responsibilities

Preparation of specifications, wiring and schematic diagrams, and bill-of-material development
Proposal development including defining work scopes, deliverables, schedules, and budgets
Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing projects
Help ensure project milestones are met and provide regular updates to team members and clients
Support the growth and development of team members
Build and sustain strong relationships with clients and internal teams
Collaborate across disciplines to align technical approaches with client goals while contributing to a positive, inclusive team culture

Required

bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
5 years of relevant experience related to the job responsibilities described above
Working knowledge of codes, standards, laws, and regulations applicable to the project assignments described above
Professional Engineer (PE) certification
experience with AutoCAD and basic Microsoft Office software, especially Excel and Word
Experience with relay and SCADA software including relay settings, RTU configurations, HMI creation is required
possession of a current, valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by Barr, now or in the future

Preferred

10+ years of experience at a consulting engineering, electric utility, or industrial company
Knowledge of and experience with IEC 61850 standard communication protocols
Background and skills related to PLC and HMI programming and commissioning
Experience related to electrical installations in hazardous areas
