NYSHEX is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day accounting operations. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring operational efficiency across the finance function.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice processing, and expense tracking
Maintain accurate and timely financial records in our accounting systems
Prepare basic reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements
Assist with month-end close tasks including data validation, journal entries, and documentation preparation
Organize and maintain financial documentation for audits and compliance
Support vendor setup, payments, and internal inquiries
Work with the COO and Director of Finance to ensure smooth financial operations across global teams
Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve accuracy

Required

2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
Strong proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets)

Experience managing AP/AR and basic reconciliations
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal oversight
Comfort working with a distributed, global team

Preferred

Experience supporting U.S.-based or international operations
Knowledge of SaaS or tech-enabled business environments
Experience in startups or fast-growing organizations
