Responsibilities
Lead the Data Transformation Journey
Team Mentorship
Performance and Optimization Ensure optimal performance, availability, and security of databases across hybrid environments aligning to Allstate security requirements
Governance and Compliance Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance in cloud and hybrid setups aligning to Allstate security requirements
Collaboration Work closely with Enterprise engineering aligning Investments with enterprise data strategy. Work closely with Investments product and business teams aligning with organizational goals
Qualification
Required
10+ years in database administration with strong expertise in SQL Server
3+ years in Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms
Proven experience coaching DBA teams and driving large-scale database migrations
Database performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery
Strong understanding of security and compliance in cloud environments
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking
Preferred
Oracle experience is a plus
Exposure to Microsoft Fabric and OneLake is a strong plus
Familiarity with Delta Lake, Parquet, and modern data architectures
