Tiello has partnered with a leading Structural Steel Fabricator/Erector who is looking for a Senior Estimator for structural steel erection and fabrication projects. The ideal candidate will manage the bid/estimating process, develop cost estimates, and ensure projects are completed within budget and timeline.

Responsibilities

Manage and lead a team of estimators to ensure accurate and timely estimation of project costs
Review and analyze project plans and specifications to create detailed and accurate project cost estimates
Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure successful bid proposals and accurate project cost forecasting
Coordinate with other departments to seamlessly transition from pre-construction to construction phases
Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and availability of materials
Oversee the development and implementation of estimating tools and processes
Provide guidance and direction to the estimating team regarding bidding strategies and techniques
Train and mentor estimators on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as necessary to ensure accurate project cost estimates
Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's Degree preferably in Construction Management or Engineering, or equivalent work experience
Minimum 5+ years of estimating experience in the construction industry; must understand commercial construction & estimating processes
At least 3 years' experience in a management role
Strong problem-solving, leadership and management skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively function in a team environment
Excellent time management skills, ability to work on multiple projects and be a self-starter
Outstanding attention to detail
Thorough understanding of construction bid process, including the ability to read & interpret contract documents
Excellent computer skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Bluebeam
Willingness to travel or pass background/drug screen
Eligibility to work in the U.S

Preferred

Familiarity with software such as Revit Structures, Tekla Structures & AutoCAD
Experience with estimating software, i.e. Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, ProEst, Planswift, etc
