The role involves collaborating with various departments to forecast material needs and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production goals.
Responsibilities
Analyze production schedules and inventory levels to determine material requirements
Forecast future material needs based on production schedules and historical data
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials as necessary to minimize shortages or excesses
Utilize ERP systems to track and manage inventory levels
Work closely with production teams to adjust material plans based on shifting demands
Conduct regular reviews of supplier performance
Implement and maintain materials planning processes to improve efficiency
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in materials planning or inventory management within a manufacturing environment
Proficient in ERP software; experience with MS Office applications is a must
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
