Responsibilities
Partnering with and leading large offshore resources to solving complex business needs, serving as the technical contact
Managing your team, including interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, and giving appropriate feedback
Writing advanced complex code for computer systems, acting as a senior source of expertise, performing reviews, and leading development
Acting as an acknowledged go-to person on coding and technical issues
Recommending technical strategy and direction across functional area, participating in the development and evolution of architecture
Perform reviews to ensure enterprise and architectural standards and processes are followed
Complete management responsibilities to include performance management, hiring and coaching of staff, and resource planning
Serve as a senior source of expertise for (backend)software development best practices
Manage system and user acceptance testing cycles to ensure accurate and quality business solutions
Qualification
Required
10+ years in software development, including 3+ years in a leadership or manager role
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent
Strong technical background in Mark Logic, XQuery, Python, Java, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, and AWS
Expertise in Agile, SDLC, and modern development practices
Proven experience managing offshore teams and working across time zones
Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
Ability and experience in project planning and management tools
Have substantial Software Engineering (backend developer) experience
Experienced in staff resourcing and management, including partnering and offshoring resourcing models
