Responsibilities

Own the release process end-to-end: build, package, deploy, verify, and roll back when needed, making releases repeatable and low-drama
Build and improve CI/CD pipelines (speed + reliability): automate the 'boring but critical' parts of shipping
Implement safer delivery patterns like canary / blue-green / progressive rollouts and feature-flag-driven releases
Production readiness checks: release gates, automated smoke tests, deployment verification, and fast rollback paths
Observability + analytics: ensure every release tells a story via dashboards/metrics (release health, errors, latency, adoption, funnel impact)
Partner with engineering/product to balance speed and stability using reliability concepts like SLOs/error budgets (practical, lightweight, not bureaucracy)

Required

3+ years in release engineering, build/release, DevOps, production engineering, or SRE-adjacent roles
Hands-on experience with CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions / GitLab CI / CircleCI / Jenkins) and automated deployment workflows
Strong scripting ability (Python and/or Bash) to automate workflows, remove toil, and unblock teams
Comfort with modern delivery stacks: Git, containers (Docker), cloud environments (ideally AWS), and environment/config management
Practical experience with monitoring/alerting and release health signals (logs/metrics/traces)
Proficient English, strong written communication, and confidence working async across time zones
Self-sufficient: you don't wait to be told, you spot problems, propose fixes, and execute
