Optomi is partnering with a large and highly respected healthcare organization to seek a Software Engineer with extensive experience in backend development. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services to support critical healthcare platforms.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Quarkus
Build RESTful APIs and microservices supporting enterprise-scale applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, product owners, and QA
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies
Support performance tuning, troubleshooting, and production support as needed

Required

5+ years of professional software engineering experience

Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset

Preferred

Experience in healthcare, regulated, or enterprise environments
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of event-driven or distributed system architectures
