Responsibilities

Leading and directing a Supervisory team of 3 Outbound Supervisors and 60 associates
Ensuring the timely distribution and receipt of product while meeting the distribution center standards of budget, policies, procedures and quality
Leading initiatives designed to improve processes or continuous improvement projects throughout the facility
Providing leadership to the team and challenging the status quo; interacting with employees on the floor and in an office setting
Influencing and understanding the business and culture strategy and translating the strategy into executable initiatives for their department
Interfacing with customers and suppliers to resolve issues and participating in regularly scheduled meetings (*this may include travelling a few times a year).*
Collaborating with cross-functional teams at all levels within the organization, specifically within HR and Operations groups daily
Cultivating positive relationships with peers and coworkers
Interviewing and making hiring decisions for supervisor, lead and niche roles
Developing the supervisory and employee population, which includes training, coaching, counseling and performance appraisals
Managing the distribution operation utilizing appropriate systems to track, analyze and improve day-to-day operational metrics
Holding Supervisors accountable for their respective department MBO’s
Enforcing Cardinal Health compliance and regulations for OSHA, DEA, FDA, state and local authorities, primary facility contact for QRA compliance
Managing site financial metrics including profit and loss and budgets

Required

5+ years of relevant experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Prior experience with continuous improvement projects and initiatives
Adaptable to operational needs
Ability to solve problems through complex scenarios and drive change

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience
Prior leadership experience
Experience working within a warehouse (or distribution) environment
Inventory planning and processing experience
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel (Pivot Tables and spreadsheets)
Experience working within ERP's (Oracle or Manhattan)
