Senior Level, Lead/StaffCooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Sr. Process/Project Engineer for a top Process Manufacturing leader in Greenville, NC. This role serves as a technical pillar for manufacturing operations, responsible for process monitoring, complex troubleshooting, and the execution of high-impact continuous improvement initiatives.
Logistics & Supply Chain
Responsibilities
Process Optimization: Monitor real-time production data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for efficiency gains or cost reduction
Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose root causes of process upsets and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and waste
Engineering Design: Lead the design and sizing of process equipment, ensuring all calculations for mass balance and heat transfer are precise and compliant
Project Management: Direct process improvement projects from inception through production trials and final implementation
Safety & Compliance: Review and approve Management of Change (MOC) documentation, operating procedures, and Process Hazard Analyses (PHA)
Quality Assurance: Support detailed quality investigations and provide technical guidance to resolve product quality variances
Technical Mentorship: Develop and deliver training for production staff on revised procedures and new process technologies
Qualification
Required
Experience in process industries like chemicals or fibers
Strong analytical skills for process optimization
Ability to diagnose root causes of process upsets
Experience in engineering design and sizing of process equipment
Project management skills for directing process improvement projects
Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations
Experience in quality assurance and technical guidance
Ability to develop and deliver training for production staff
