Director of Operations
Stock Manufacturing & Design is a family-owned business with a strong presence in the manufacturing industry. They are seeking a Director of Operations to lead and enhance their manufacturing processes, focusing on productivity, cost management, and team development.

Responsibilities
Leading all aspects of manufacturing to maximize delivery and productivity while minimizing costs
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing, value stream mapping and root cause analysis
Build, develop and mentor a high performing operations leadership team
Establish & track KPI’s, dashboards & performance metrics to drive accountability and results
Optimize workflows, production schedules, and capacity to support growth and scalability
Implementing manufacturing best practices with the goal of building a stronger and more scalable organization that keeps pace with market demand
Fostering a culture of collaboration across functions through modeling ideal behaviors and practices that ensure consistency throughout operations
Support strategic planning, forecasting, and capital investment initiatives
Assists with near-term and long-term staffing predictions, profiling the department’s talent requirements
Ensure staffing and development activities reflect the level of readiness to meet commitments and be prepared for future needs
Communicates operational objectives and monitor the tactical execution of plans
Ensures the Production team is engaged in the right activities to achieve the company goals and objectives including efficient utilization of people and equipment, optimum product flow while managing cost
Interprets demand forecasts with sales to project the required capacity requirements and production capabilities to meet customer requirements and lead times
Helps bridge the disciplines of engineering and manufacturing to match the organization’s capabilities to customer requirements and identify alternative approaches for designing solutions, simplifying assemblies, and controlling costs while maintaining quality standards
Qualification
Required
Proven leadership experience in manufacturing or operations management
Strong track record of driving operational improvements and scalable growth
Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
Data driven decision maker with a practical, hands-on leadership style
Excellent communication, coaching, and change management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office/TEAMS, ERP systems, PLM required
Must be an approachable, hands-on team member that will jump in where needed, and lead by example
Behaving with a growth and development mindset, seeking opportunities for personal growth as well as the growth of your team
