Responsibilities
Lead vacuum system maintenance and troubleshooting for advanced sputter deposition equipment
Manage reconfiguration projects, preventive maintenance schedules, and system readiness for R&D
Collaborate with engineers, technologists, and operators to resolve complex technical issues
Ensure compliance with cleanroom protocols and safety standards
Drive continuous improvement in equipment performance and reliability
Qualification
Required

Vacuum Technology Expertise: High/Ultra-high vacuum principles, leak detection, gas flow dynamics
Pump Systems: Rotary vane, scroll, turbomolecular, cryogenic pumps
Instrumentation: Pirani, cold cathode, ion gauges; calibration and interpretation
Leak Detection: Helium leak testing and troubleshooting
Electrical & Control Systems: Power supply troubleshooting, PLC interface understanding
Preventive Maintenance: Scheduling, documentation, and performance reporting
Able to work 11.5-hour shifts
Able to travel locally occasionally
Preferred
Experience with sputter deposition systems
Familiarity with automation and transport systems troubleshooting
