The University of Utah is seeking a Mid- to Late-Career Clinician Investigator to join their Division of General Internal Medicine. The successful candidate will focus on health services research and patient care, while also mentoring junior researchers and establishing an independent research program.

Establish and lead a research team, developing an independent, extramurally funded research program, and mentoring trainees and junior faculty

Qualification

M.D.D.O. degreeBoard-certified in Internal MedicineResearch funding experienceInnovative research methodologiesMentoring experienceCommunication skillsTeamwork skillsLeadership skills

Required

Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
Board-certified in Internal Medicine
Established track record of research accomplishments with a focus on clinical investigation and/or health services research
Eligibility for licensure in the State of Utah

Preferred

Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
A strong history of successfully securing research funding
Experience in mentoring and training junior researchers
Experience with innovative research methodologies and technologies

Benefits

Start-up funding to establish the candidate in the Division of General Internal Medicine
Base salary support of 15% per year for research development and grant writing
