This role is responsible for leading product and process initiatives related to internal radius grinding, including developing new processes, training others, and managing equipment procurement and maintenance.

Responsibilities
Lead development of new internal grinding processes using universal internal cylindrical grinding equipment
Read, interpret, and program CAD drawings for use on the machine
Determine appropriate tooling and fixturing for the material used and the tolerancing required
Determine appropriate speeds and feeds to achieve target cycle times and tolerances
Determine appropriate measurement and supplemental equipment needed to achieve customer specifications within given budget. Once equipment is identified, lead the procurement and implementation of this equipment
Document the process and train others
Take ownership of all aspects of the equipment
Perform and train others to successfully maintenance the equipment
Recommend fixes and other solutions to eliminate common issues with the equipment
Take the lead in procurement of any new equipment related to internal grinding
Take over as subject matter expert of internal and internal radius grinding
Perform data analysis on tests and prepare reports for management
Lead other roles and support any other initiatives regarding internal radius grinding
Qualification
Required
Very strong knowledge of universal internal grinding machines and general grinding theory
