Quality Assurance Analyst
Portfolio Aid Inc. is looking for a skilled Quality Assurance Analyst to support their RegTech and WealthTech software solutions. The role involves designing test plans, developing test programs, and documenting software defects to ensure high-quality product releases.
Computer Software
Responsibilities
Designing test plans, scenarios, scripts, and/or procedures
Developing test programs that address database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error/defect retests, and/or application usability
Testing application modifications
Documenting software defects using a defect-tracking system and reporting defects to software developers/project team
Identifying, analyzing, and documenting problems with program functions, output, online screens, and/or content
Creating and/or maintaining databases of known test defects
Planning test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope and/or delivery dates
Participating in product design reviews and providing input on 1) functional requirements, 2) product designs, 3) schedules, and/or 4) potential problems
Reviewing software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, and completeness
Assisting quality assurance analysts and developers at other skill levels, as needed, to ensure timely releases of high quality code
Achieving a service-focused culture with emphasis on timely delivery of high-quality products and services to internal and external customers
Qualification
Required
French language written and verbal communication skills
Minimum 1 year quality assurance or computer programming experience
Minimum 1 year SQL and scripting experience
University degree or community college diploma in a related field such as computer science/IT
Strong English language written and verbal communication skills
Knowledgeable on the principles, practices and procedures of quality assurance testing and the ability to apply said knowledge and skills to a range of professional assignments
Ability to design, write, test and document efficient testing solutions to meet customer needs
Ability to change process execution during product line testing
Ability to analyze large data sets, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions
Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities
Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team–oriented, environment
Ability to work well independently
Strong computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office
Experience in a client-server environment
Keen attention to detail
Preferred
Knowledge of Agile development methodology
Experience using Selenium WebDriver or equivalent tool
