Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 7–8 accounting staff across AP, AR, and GL functions
Assign workloads, set priorities, and ensure deadlines are consistently met
Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and training to build a high-performing team
Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department
Oversee Accounts Payable processes, including vendor management, invoice processing, and payment cycles
Oversee Accounts Receivable activities, including billing, cash application, and collections support
Supervise General Ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals
Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare and review financial reports in accordance with IFRS
Review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
Maintain and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and automation within accounting processes
Partner with finance, operations, and IT to optimize accounting systems and workflows
Ensure proper use and integrity of ERP/accounting systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people management
Proven experience managing AP, AR, and General Ledger functions
Knowledge of IFRS
Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (Microsoft Business Central) and strong Excel skills
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred
Experience in manufacturing, food production, or agricultural environments
