Responsibilities
Contribute to the quality and testing of Apple AirPods products
Work with peer groups to understand the needs, challenges and existing tools and be involved in defining and updating team test plans, test cases, processes and procedures
Take existing test cases and test suites and architect automation plans
Be a self-starter with excellent communications skills, both verbal & written and have an attention to detail
Work well on a team and on your own and at times lead your test areas which will require the presentation and communications of testing progress, issues found, and champion the improved quality of your areas
Adapt to new technologies into effective audio testing
Qualification
Required
5+ years experience in audio test engineering
Advanced understanding of macOS and iOS platforms is a must
Expertise in Audio Testing, isolating issues, devising test plans, driving to specifications
Familiarity with real-time audio handling (sample rates, buffering, PCM, drivers, etc.)
Proficient in using Python and command line interfaces
Knowledge of Apple software developer tools (Xcode, Objective-C)
A foundational understanding of electronics, audio technology, and recording studios
Musicians & Audiophiles welcome
Preferred
Experience with FPGAs, development boards preferred
Audio DSP experience is preferred
BS/BA in Computer Science, Audio Engineering or Music Technology
