Responsibilities

Track and report on weekly social media trends, platform updates, and culturally relevant news
Provide weekly competitor insights, including content styles, campaigns, and engagement tactics
Monitor conversations across platforms to identify opportunities for engagement and insights
Contribute ideas during social content brainstorms and campaign planning sessions
Participate in and be featured in social content shoots
Film and edit content for social platforms
Assist with content pre-production, including:
Shoot planning
Shot lists
Mood boards
Call sheets
Collaborate with team members on daily community management efforts
Start and join conversations across all platforms
Identify posts to comment on, respond to, and engage with
Assist with content organization and file management
Help build and maintain our content hub in Google Drive and Dropbox, ensuring assets are organized, labeled, and easy to access
Onsite event support (setting up displays, community engagement at events)
Influencer sourcing and analytics support
TikTok Live support

Required

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a 4-year university, ideally studying Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
Strong interest in social media, content creation, and digital culture, with a pulse on trends across platforms (especially TikTok and Instagram)
Familiarity with social media platforms and best practices, including posting, engagement, and community interaction
Basic experience with content editing tools (in-app tools, CapCut, Canva, etc.)
Comfortable being on camera and representing a brand publicly
Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone and voice
Organized and detail-oriented, with experience managing files and folders
Ability to take initiative, contribute ideas, and collaborate in a fast-paced environment
Available for a 4-month contract with the ability to work in-office and/or attend content shoots around the Los Angeles area as needed

Preferred

Experience managing or growing a personal, brand, or community social media account
Knowledge of analytics or performance tracking for social content
Experience with Strava, or other community-driven platforms
Photography or videography experience (even at a beginner level)
Interest in influencer marketing, events, or public relations
