The Intern, Strategic Procurement role is part of a 10-week Summer Internship Program, where the intern will support cost estimating, contract review, and procurement process improvements while gaining professional experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Supporting cost estimating and modeling for Battery Storage equipment, including data analysis and developing strategic rationale
Supporting contract review and negotiation for equipment supply and long term service agreements
Developing and supporting procurement specific process improvements to promote efficiency with Microsoft Copilot (or other tools)
Supporting the strategic procurement group on projects at hand
Ad-hoc reporting and analyses
The Strategic Procurement (BESS) Intern will be assigned to an individual project and will present results to the team and leadership at the end of the internship on August 4th
Qualification
Required
Current juniors and rising seniors pursuing a bachelor's degree in business management/economics, construction, project management, or engineering
Background in procurement, project management, construction, contracts, renewable energy, cost analysis and reporting
Proficiency in MS programs, excellent communications and cross functional collaboration
Successful candidate should be familiar with Intermediate to Advanced uses of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
Intellectual curiosity and an interest in renewable energy
Strong interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable
Ability to work independently, multitask and take ownership over projects and assignments
Preferred
An interest in using automation tools and LLM's like Microsoft Copilot to improve processes
Power BI experience is also a plus
