Responsibilities
Manage a team of 5+ employees within the accounting department
Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Handle basic accounting processes and procedures
Design, implement, and maintain internal financial controls
Ability to decipher large amounts of transactional data
Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, or other relevant accounting standards
Handle multi-state sales and use tax filings, ERP tax system maintenance, and potential tax software implementation
Support audits, compliance reporting, and process improvements while collaborating cross-functionally with branch and corporate teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
7-10 years of experience in corporate accounting with supervisory experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros)
Experience with software such as Great Plains, QuickBooks, or similar
Strong fundamental and hands on capability
Ability to communicate across multiple departments both verbally and written
Detail-oriented with a strong ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Knowledge of automation and system upgrades or implementations (e.g., ERP systems)
