Fiscal & Payroll Coordinator

Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Library is seeking a Fiscal & Payroll Coordinator who will participate in all payroll functions and provide routine support in procurement operations. The role involves processing payroll, maintaining accurate pay records, and supporting vendor management while embracing the Library's mission and commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

Processes bi-weekly payroll within the Library's payroll software, ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time, including calculating wages, taxes and deductions
Maintains accurate pay records, including payroll data, timesheets, work records, and payroll reports
Communicates effectively with employees and other departments regarding payroll matters and resolves payroll-related issues
Supports the procurement process by reviewing submitted purchase requisitions and resolving purchasing and ordering issues and discrepancies
Supports vendor management through communication and collection of proper compliance documents
Provides departmental support as needed
Supports and advances the Library’s mission of connecting people with the world of ideas and information
Embraces and embodies the Library’s core beliefs, strategic priorities, and pillars of excellence

Required

Knowledge of payroll and timekeeping procedures
Knowledge of procurement procedures and supply chain operations
Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal financial laws and regulations
Skill in customer service
Ability to work independently and with coworkers in a wide variety of situations with minimal supervision
Ability to use all technology applicable to the essential functions of the job and commonly used by the Library
Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required
Years of relevant experience: Two or more years is required
