Admissions Specialist
Acorn Health is an Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) treatment provider dedicated to providing quality care for clients. As an Admissions Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for families seeking autism services, guiding them through the onboarding process and ensuring access to life-changing care.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective clients and families via phone, email, and electronic communication
Respond to inbound inquiries and conduct outbound outreach to guide families through next steps
Clearly explain Acorn Health programs, services, insurance benefits, and financial responsibilities
Collect, verify, and maintain accurate client and guardian information within the CRM system
Prepare and send professional, compassionate email communications to families
Ensure all required documentation is obtained, organized, and entered into Acorn Health systems
Coordinate with physicians’ offices to obtain necessary medical documentation
Collaborate closely with Authorizations, Clinical Teams, and Admissions Leadership to manage waitlists and onboarding timelines
Maintain regular communication with waitlisted families and update availability in practice management systems
Stay current on admissions workflows, process updates, and departmental guidelines
Contribute to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment focused on efficiency and family experience
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate, professional approach
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and accountability
Strong time management and follow-through
Comfort working across multiple markets and managing multiple priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
Ability to analyze and interpret data and workflow metrics
Must be able to work Eastern Standard Time business hours

Preferred
Bachelor's degree or equivalent healthcare experience preferred
1+ year of experience in healthcare admissions, client onboarding, or related field preferred
1+ year of experience in a call center or high-volume customer service environment
Experience using CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred)
