This role involves executing sourcing plans, managing supplier performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Responsibilities

Own direct material sourcing activities for assigned customer programs from RFQ through SOP and ongoing production

Execute program sourcing plans to achieve cost, quality, timing, and launch readiness targets

Support new program launches by ensuring supplier selection, tooling sourcing, and commercial agreements are completed in alignment with program milestones

Manage open commercial issues and ensure supplier commitments align with program and customer requirements

Serve as the purchasing representative on customer program teams, partnering closely with Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales

Ensure program-level sourcing decisions align with category strategies and cross-program objectives

Develop and maintain effective working relationships with direct material suppliers

Lead supplier commercial negotiations, including piece price, tooling, long-term agreements, and commercial change management

Monitor supplier performance across cost, delivery, quality, and responsiveness; proactively identify and escalate risks

Support supplier development and collaboration initiatives focused on innovation, performance improvement, and value creation

Deliver current-year cost reduction and production performance improvement initiatives aligned with category and program strategies

Manage program-related cost changes, including engineering changes, volume adjustments, and commercial recoveries

Create, manage, and maintain purchase orders, pricing agreements, and sourcing documentation within ERP and purchasing systems

Maintain accurate records of sourcing decisions, contracts, and supplier agreements in accordance with company policies
