Responsibilities
Consult with clients to understand their estate planning needs and goals
Draft, review, and finalize wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents
Provide legal advice on tax implications and strategies for estate planning
Represent clients in probate court proceedings and estate administration
Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in estate planning laws and regulations
Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to develop comprehensive estate plans
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
7 plus years of experience working with high net worth clients
Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois
Proven experience in estate planning, wills, trusts, and probate law
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple client cases simultaneously
Preferred
Knowledge of tax law as it relates to estate planning
Experience with elder law and Medicaid planning
Familiarity with software used for estate planning and document management
